内容記述 沖縄に自生するマングローブ樹種のうち塩腺を有するヒルギダマシと,有さないメヒルギの実生苗を0~4%の異なる塩濃度の水耕条件で 1か月育成し,生存率,成長,器官別 Na<SUP>+</SUP> 濃度,葉内ベタイン濃度を測定した。両種ともに,塩処理による生存率と乾燥重量に有意な差が認められなかった。Na<SUP>+</SUP>濃度は 4%処理区のメヒルギの根で有意に高くなり, Na<SUP>+</SUP> : K<SUP>+</SUP>比は胚軸と根で高くなった。一方, ヒルギダマシでは 2-4%処理区の Na<SUP>+</SUP>濃度と Na<SUP>+</SUP> : K<SUP>+</SUP>比が全ての器官で増加した。塩処理濃度の増加に伴って, ヒルギダマシの葉内グリシンベタイン濃度の上昇が認められた。
