CD4^+ T cells activation appears to play a key role on HTLV-1 infection. Here we investigated the expression of genes associated to T cell activation CD3e molecule, epsilon (CD3ɛ), lymphocyte-specific protein tyrosine kinase (LCK), vav 1 guanine nucleotide exchange factor (VAV1), and zeta-chain (TCR) associated protein kinase 70 kDa (ZAP70) on T lymphocytes of HTLV-1-infected individuals and compared to healthy uninfected individuals (CT). We observed that CD3ɛ, LCK, ZAP70, and VAV1 gene expression were increased in CD4^+ T cells from HAM/TSP group compared to HTLV-1 asymptomatic patients (HAC). Moreover, ZAP70 and VAV1 were also upregulated in HAM/TSP compared to CT group. We detected a positive correlation among all these genes. We also observed that CD3ɛ, LCK, and VAV1 genes had a positive correlation with the proviral load (PVL) and Tax expression. These results suggest that PVL and Tax protein could drive CD3ɛ, LCK, and VAV1 gene expression in CD4^+ T cells, and these genes function on a synchronized way on the CD4^+ T cell activation. The elucidation of the mechanisms underlying T cell receptor signaling pathway is of considerable interest and might lead to new insights into the mechanism of HAM/TSP.","subitem_description_type":"Other"},{"subitem_description":"論文","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_1617186643794":{"attribute_name":"Publisher","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_1522300295150":"en","subitem_1522300316516":"Elsevier"}]},"item_1617186702042":{"attribute_name":"Language","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_1551255818386":"eng"}]},"item_1617186783814":{"attribute_name":"Identifier","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_type":"HDL","subitem_identifier_uri":"http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12000/46026"}]},"item_1617186920753":{"attribute_name":"Source Identifier","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_1522646500366":"ISSN","subitem_1522646572813":"1413-8670"},{"subitem_1522646500366":"ISSN","subitem_1522646572813":"1678-4391"}]},"item_1617186941041":{"attribute_name":"Source Title","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_1522650068558":"en","subitem_1522650091861":"The Brazilian Journal of Infectious Diseases"}]},"item_1617187056579":{"attribute_name":"Bibliographic Information","attribute_value_mlt":[{"bibliographicIssueDates":{"bibliographicIssueDate":"2015","bibliographicIssueDateType":"Issued"},"bibliographicIssueNumber":"6","bibliographicPageEnd":"584","bibliographicPageStart":"578","bibliographicVolumeNumber":"19"}]},"item_1617258105262":{"attribute_name":"Resource Type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_1617265215918":{"attribute_name":"Version Type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_1522305645492":"VoR","subitem_1600292170262":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85"}]},"item_1617353299429":{"attribute_name":"Relation","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_1522306287251":{"subitem_1522306382014":"DOI","subitem_1522306436033":"https://doi.org/10.1016/j.bjid.2015.07.008"}},{"subitem_1522306287251":{"subitem_1522306382014":"DOI","subitem_1522306436033":"https://doi.org/10.1016/j.bjid.2015.07.008"}}]},"item_1617605131499":{"attribute_name":"File","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","filename":"1-s2.0-S1413867015001488-main.pdf","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"objectType":"fulltext","url":"https://u-ryukyu.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2012457/files/1-s2.0-S1413867015001488-main.pdf"},"version_id":"1b70b1ba-98f1-44cb-beef-55c0904812cb"}]},"item_title":"T cell receptor signaling pathway is overexpressed in CD4^+ T cells from HAM/TSP individuals","item_type_id":"15","owner":"1","path":["1642838338003","1642838407795"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2020-06-04"},"publish_date":"2020-06-04","publish_status":"0","recid":"2012457","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["T cell receptor signaling pathway is overexpressed in CD4^+ T cells from HAM/TSP individuals"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-08-03T05:27:18.269020+00:00"}
