The experimental result and discussion made were as follows: 1)The pangolagrass grown on the Shimajiri clay soil, of which pH was 8.0 and easily reducible manganese was 241,2 ppm, contained 39.0 ppm of manganese in average. 2)The grass grown on the limed Kunigami gravel soil contained 15.4 ppm of manganese, but the grass from the non-limed Kunigami gravel soil contained 11.7 ppm in average. Easily reducible manganese in the Kunigami gravel soil was found as low as below 1.0 ppm. 3)It was considered reasonable that the grass absorbed more manganese from the Shimajiri clay soil containing much manganese, though the pH of the soil was high.
