The results were as follows: Flowering of the pineapple plant was effectively induced even by the day time treatment with Ethephon in the summer season. Incorporation of urea into Ethephon solution appeared to bring about more flowering than Ethephon alone. Ethephon treatment resulted in more uniform and prompt flowering than NAA.
