In this paper, the authors report the results of the methods experimented for mass collection of eggs. The oviposition behavior of the wild type strain was greatly different from that of the laboratory adapted strain. The length of preoviposition period of the laboratory adapted strain was shorter than that of the wild type strain and the total number of eggs oviposited by the former strain was greater than that by the latter strain. Tissue paper, gauze, and sponge were tested as the squash juice holder in the artificial egging receptacles. As a result, there was no significant difference among three materials in the number of egg obtained. The optimal number of the hole on an egging receptacle was found to be 50 to 70.
