 note = {On the course of the eradication projefct of the oriental fruit fly, Dacus(Bactrocera) dorsalis HENDEL, by the male anihilation with methyl eugenol and BRP in Miyako and Yeyama Isles, Okinawa, Japan, two unknown and one rediscovered species of the genus Dacus(Diptera: Tephritidae) were collected by examination of fruits and/or traps with methyl eugenol. Male and female genitalia of D.(Gymnodacus) kuniyoshii SHIRAKI, described by SHIRAKI(1968) as a new species with two male specimens collected from Iriomote Is. in 1953, were described and illustrated (Figs. 1-C, 4). The host plant of the species is Calophyllum inophyllum L. This species was not attracted by methyl eugenol, although closely allied to D. (Bactorocera) dorsalis. D. (Bactrocera) sp. (Figs. 1-A, 2) and D. (Zeugodacus) sp. (Figs. 1-B, 3) were collected from Diospyros maritima B_L. and Diplocyclos palmatus C. JEFFREY, respectively.
