The murulae stage embryo in mouse was exposed to examine effects of 6-mercaptopurine (6-MP) and vinblastin (VB) for developments. Cell counts, mitotic index and sister chromatid exchange (SCE) were determined at blastocyst stage. After exposure of 6-MP, blastocyst developed from morulae showed decrease in mitotic index with dose dependency, but no change in cell count and SCE. After the exposure of VB, mitotic index showed higher rate at 10pM or more concentrations, embryo was arrested at 1st devision in cell cycle. At lower concentrations of VB, embryo development was similar to control in cell counts, mitotic index and SCE.
