She had extirpation of a left subscapular soft tissue mass seven years ago, which recurred three years later. At that time, the tumor was excised and its pathodogy was elastofibroma. On this admission, she presented with a right subscapular mass which was excised. The pathological study revealed elastofibroma. Elastofibroma is uncommon and only 261 cases have been reported in world literature up to date. Over two-thirds of these were from Okinawa Prefecture, in Japan. It occurrs predominantly in the subscapular region.of aged females. Occasionally, the tumors are found bilaterally, just like in our case. The diagnosis of this disease is not easy except for the tumors in the subscapular region. When the patient complains of severe pain, the tumor is neccessary to be excised. Otherwise it is notharmful to the patient., 論文}, pages = {114--120}, title = {[症例報告]弾性線維腫の1例}, volume = {6}, year = {1983} }
