This tumor is a rare malignant tumor, usually arises in uterine endometrial areas. The patient has had a tendency to constipation since November, 1982, and was pointed out a lower abdominal mass by a doctor at the end of December, 1982. On January 4, she was referred to Nahacity Hospital for medical examination, and was suspected a malignant ovarian tumor by a ultrasonic examination. Laboratory data were normal except for mild anemia, and mild increase of LDH and CRP 1 ( + ). On January 11, 1983, exploratory laparotomy was performed. The mass, about the size of infant's head, occupied the pelvic space. It could not be only extirpated but also identified the origin because of remarkable adhesion. Therefore, biopsy alone was done for the pathological diagnosis. Histopathologically, the tumor consists of an admixture of epithelial and non-epithelial malignant tumor elements. The epithelial component is arranged in reticular, trabecular, solid or papillary patterns, and partly with squamous metaplasia. The neoplastic epithelial cells have ovoid to spheroidal nuclei with fine to coarse reticular chromatin distribution and show indistinct cell borders. On the other hand, the stroma is tightly packed or loosely arranged by nonepithelial malignant cells showing marked nuclear and cytoplasmic pleomorphism. There is no differentiation of the cells into striated muscle, adipose tissue and cartilage. But a few fragments of mature bone tissues are observed in the necrotic areas., 論文}, pages = {214--220}, title = {[症例報告]Müllerian mixed tumor の1症例 : 病理組織学的検討}, volume = {6}, year = {1983} }
