The patient was referred to the University Hospital with a diagnosis of colonic obstruction on December 18, 1985. One month prior to this admission, he had emergency colostomy for obstruction of the descending colon at other hospital. One this admission, barium enema studies through a colostomy demonstrated a complete obstruction of the descending colon with an irregular contour. Colonofiberscopy also revealed carcinoma in this location. Left hemicolectomy was carried out on January 7, 1986. At operation, carcinoma showed extensive spreads onto the peritoneal and serosal surface. Grossly, the involved portion of the colon was strictured with a marked thickening of the wall. Histologically, carcinoma was poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma with extensive lymphatic and vascular invasion. Following operation, he was treated with adjuvant chemotherapeutic agents. At this writing six months after surgery, the patient is doing well., 論文}, pages = {115--120}, title = {[症例報告]若年者大腸癌の一例}, volume = {9}, year = {1986} }
