Histopathological examinations disclosed Pautrier's microabscess in the epidermis and band-like or patchy infiltration of abnormal lymphocytes to upper and middle dermis of the papules, but the former was not observed in the epidermis of the nodules , the latter was observed among whole dermis of the nodules. Almost all of abnormal lymphocytes were positive for Leu 1, Leu 4 and Leu 3a, and monoclonal proliferatipn of lymphocytes with the surface marker of helper T cells was noted in the immunohistological studies by modified immunoperoxidase method (ABC method ). Leukocytosis with abnormal lymphocytes (known as flower cell) were observed in the peripheral blood. The anti-ATLA antibody was as low as 10 times, while the leveles of lmmunoglobulins were high. Peripheral lymphocytes and skin infiltrating single cell cells had not only the surface property of helper T cell, but also the reactivity with GIN 14 (monoclonal antibody against P19 and p28 of ATL virus) when 7-day cultured cells were tested by indirect immunofluorescent antibody method. Among the family, anti-ATLA antibody positive individuals were noted with high ratio of 57%. Treatment with predonisolone gave a good control of peripheral abnormal lymphocytes and skin lesions., 論文}, pages = {40--52}, title = {[症例報告]皮膚結節及び末棺血より ATL virus を確認した chronic ATL の1例}, volume = {8}, year = {1985} }
