The histology was poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma in all three patients. in accordance with the UICC System (1978), the three cases were classified T2NO, T3NO and T3N2. Preradiotherapy chemotherapy was administered containing CDDP and 120-hour continuous infusion of 5-FU. One patient achieved a complete response (CR) and two patients a partial response after two or three cycles of chemotherapy. Radical radiotherapy was performed within two weeks after the last course of chemotherapy. Radiation toxidty was mild and no increase in morbidity was observed after the combination chemotherapy. All three patients achieved CR in definitive treatment. 35 months later, there is no evidence of recurrence. Thus our conclusion is that preradiotherapy chemotherapy is effective in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma., 論文}, pages = {165--171}, title = {[症例報告]上咽頭癌に対する照射前化学療法}, volume = {11}, year = {1991} }
