 note = {Prevalence of bronchial asthma was surveyed by questionnaire in the following six rural areas in Okinawa : Zamami-son, Tokashiki-son, Aguni-son, Minamidaito-son, Kume island (Gushikawa-son, Nakazato-son) and Yonashiro-son. The prevalence was 1.9%, 3.8%, 1.8%, 4.2%, 1.8% and 1.6% respectively. The average in six areas showed 2.2%. It appeares that the prevalence was almost same or little higher in comparison with the mainland of Japan. Further analytical study should be performed in the two areas with higher prevalence (Tokashiki-son and Minamidaito-son). As regards the blood relation, a high prevalence as 62.2% was seen among the relatives of the third of the patients with bronchial asthma, while 18.5% in the general population., 論文},
