They termed it The syndrome of intention or action myoclonus. We reported one case which presented same symptoms after acute bromvalerylurea intoxication. The case is a twenty-nine-year old female. she presented intention or action myoclonus and cerebellar symptoms after acute bromvalerylurea intoxication for the suicidal attempt. This myoclonus has improved remarkably by poly-pharmacetic treatment of anticonvulsants (clonazepam is especially effective ). The EEG recordings showed bilateral synchronous polyspikes and wave complex. The photic stimulation provoked polyspikes and wave complex, and clinical myoclonus. During the first two years of the treatment, with the clinical improvement, spike and wave discharges had diminished remarkably. However, photosensitivity and basic activity had improved very little. Based on these EEG findings, we supposed that the basic disturbance in myoclonus seen in the present case is in the thalamic nucleus functionally related to the sense of vision., 論文}, pages = {230--238}, title = {[症例報告]Intention or action myoclonus (Lance-Adams syndrome)の1症例 : 4年間の治療経過}, volume = {6}, year = {1983} }
