An electron microscopic morphometric study of the gallbladder epithelium was performed in 33 gallstone patients and 14 acalculous cases. Most of the cases were chronic simple cholecystitis by the light microscopic study in both groups. The volume density of secretory granules was significantly increased in cholesterol gallstone patients, patients younger than 50 years old, and male patients, and gallstone size & number was significantly increased compared with the control group. However, the volume density of lysosome-like bodies & nuclei and the mean epithelial areas of gallbladder mucosa in cholelithiasis did not show statistical significance compared with acalculous cases. This study indicates thaL the gallbladder epithelium with cholesterol gallstone has a high volume density of secretory granules and suggests that the epithelium may play a contributory role such as mucus secretion in gallstone formation., 論文}, pages = {247--258}, title = {[原著]胆石症におけるヒト胆嚢粘膜の超微形態学的検討}, volume = {13}, year = {1993} }
