 note = {A case of asympotomatic primary biliary cirrhosis with metaplastic bone formation of the liver in a 61-year-old female is reported herein. The patient was admitted to the affliated hospital for evaluation of liver dysfunction. Diagnostic modalities including CT and US led us to make a diagnosis of hepatolithiasis of the left lobeof the liver. With a possible diagnosis of hepatolithiasis, the left lateral segmentectomy was carried out. However, the resected hepatic segment showed no stones within the intrahepatic bile duct , but a hard nodule adjacent to the bile duct. Histologically, the nodule was metaplastic bone formation and the liver showed primary biliary cirrhosis (stage 1). She has been doing well without any evidence of symptom and abnormal elevation of liver function for the past three and half years since the diagnosis., 論文},
