Previous reports on CMV mononucleosis in the nonimTnunocompromised host have been rare. In Japan only 12 cases of CMV mononucleosis have been reporetd. We reported here two healthy adultcases with CMV mononucleosis. Case 1 is a 27-year-old male. He was admimitted with a fever of 10 days' duration and fatigue. On physical examination his temperature was 38.0℃ and bilateral cervical and inguinal lymph-adenopathy were noticed. His WBC count was 8,900/mm3 with 59% lymphocyte and 4% atypical lymphocyte. Abnormal liver function tests with elevaion of S-GOT (109IU/L), S-GPT (133IU/L) and LDH (972IU/L) were observed. The peak level of S-GOT reached 279IU/L CMV-IgM titers were positive, hepatitis B surface and hepatitis C antigen and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) titer were negative. HTLV-I virus was positive. On the 25th day in hospital liver function improved. He was discharged after 4 weeks treatment. Case 2 is a 23-year-old male. He complained of fever and fatigue. Swelling of inguinal lymph nodes and hepatosplenomegaly were noticed. His laboratory data showed lymphocytosis and elevation of S-GPT (63IU/L), LDH (817IU/L) and anti-CMV antibody of the IgM, while antibodies against hepatitis virus associated antigen and EBV were negative. On the 10th day in hospital he defevesced and liver function improved. He was discharged after 3 weeks treatment., 論文}, pages = {307--314}, title = {[症例報告]健康成人にみられたサイトメガロウイルス単核細胞症の2症例}, volume = {13}, year = {1993} }
