At the age of 31, the patient was diagnosed to have splenomegaly and anemia. She was referred to the University Hospital for further examination of her splenomegaly and anemia in February 1990. On admission, laboratory findings showed anemia and thrombocytopenia. Upper gastrointestinal series revealed medial compression of the gastric fundus. Ultrasonography and computed tomography demonstrated an oval splenic tumor with internal homogeneous density. Splenic angiography showed hypervascular tumor, consistent with splenic hemangioma. Her splenic tumor was 10cm in diameter. On August 17, splenectomy was carried out. The tumor was 11.0×9.5×8.2cm in size and its weight was 685 g. The cut section showed red-purple, hard tumor with small areas of necrosis and fibrosis in the center of the tumor. Histological report was capillary hemangioma. She was uneventful postoperatively and has been doing well for the past 3 years since splenectomy., 論文}, pages = {69--73}, title = {[症例報告]脾血管腫の1例}, volume = {14}, year = {1994} }
