 note = {A case of esophageal intraepithelial carcinoma found during preoperative close examination for hypopharyngeal carcinoma was reported. A 63 years-old female was detected with some erosive and flat lesions (0-IIc) at the thoracic part of the esophagus by fiberscopic examination. Iodine staining was highly suggestive of multiple cancerous lesions. And the diagnosis was confirmed as squamous cell carcinoma by biopsy. Blunt dissection of the esophagus and the operation for the hypopharyngeal carcinoma were performed at the same time. Pathological diagnosis of the esophagus confirmed multiple intraepithehal carcinoma. A high incidence rate of multiple primary carcinomatous lesions of esophagus and head & neck region have been reported. We should be more careful during examining those type of lesions, especially in case of esophagus and iodine staining test during endoscopic examination was very useful for the detection of early esophageal carcinomatous lesions., 論文},
