We reviewed the use of morphine at the Ryukyu University Hospital from 1993 to 1995. 126 patients received morphine in 1993 and 155 patients in 1995, excluding the use of morphine for operation purposes. The amount of parenterally administered morphine gradually increased. The dose in 1995 (518. 5g) was 2. 5 times as much as that of the previous year. Seventy one percent of the patients were prescribed the sustained-release morphine tablets in 1993. The maximal period for morphine treatment was 359 days in 1993 and 342 days in 1995. Maximum dose (mg/day) prescribed for injection, tablet, solution and suppository was 5200mg, 600mg, 120mg and lOOmg, respectively. We calculated that the maximum period of morphine treatment using tablets was 27 days at 60mg/day, suggesting that the pain of many patients disappear with an oral dose of 60mg/day. The data suggest that the effective use of morphine could be employed to improve the quality of life of patients., 論文}, pages = {147--151}, title = {[資料]琉球大学医学部附属病院におけるモルヒネ使用動態}, volume = {16}, year = {1996} }
