The subjects were 374 university students aged 20 and above. The new scale was developed based on Weriner's attribution model which has three central causal dimensions of perceived control in relation to health. The perceived causes of health and illness share three common properties: locus, controllability, and stability. Accordingly the original scale developed consisted of eight sub scales which include 16 items of internal-externaKlocus), controllable-uncontrollable (controllability), stable-unstable (stability). The new scale was applied to smoking behavior of university students to confirm its predictability. As a resuit, smoking behavior was predicted fairly well by the newly developed scale. Mean scores of internal-controllable-unstable sub scale were significantly higher in non-smokers than in smokers, as expected. Mean scores of external-uncontrollable-stable sub scale were also significantly higher in non-smokers than in smokers as well. There was a significant difference in smokers for smoking status, experiences of smoking cessation, and smoking behaviors of family members and friends., 論文}, pages = {95--102}, title = {[原著]新規開発態度尺度試案を用いた大学生の喫煙行動の予測}, volume = {18}, year = {1998} }
