Therefore, angiotensin II activates premotor neurons in the RVLM via AT_1 receptors. Recent evidence indicate that AT_1 receptors play an important role in mediating phasic excitatory inputs to RVLM sympathoexcitatory neurons in response to the activation of some neurons within the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVN). PVN neurons play an important role in emotional stress and AT_1 receptors may play a significant role in stress-induced hypertension. 内容記述 There is a high density of angiotensin type 1 (AT_1) receptors in various brain regions involved in cardiovascular regulation. The present review will focus on the role of AT_1 receptors in regulating the activity of sympathetic premotor neurons in the rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM), which plays a pivotal role in the regulation of sympathetic nerve activity and blood pressure.
