 note = {In recent times, concern of our society about elder abuse has been increasing. Administratively also, plans for promoting survey of elder abuse and prevention of such abuses have greatly developed. The Japan Academy for the Prevention of Elder Abuse held lectures and symposia to commemorate its establishment in August, 2003. This society aims at promoting interdisciplinary research and education on practical activities about elder abuse prevention. Also, the committee on elder abuse prevention in the Diet was estabhshed and started sitting last year. So far, the main report of researches on elder abuse in general has been indirect-from third persons. In order to raise the reliability of investigations, it is important that information is got directly from the abused persons and abusers themselves. To protect the human rights of the elderly, a deep awareness should be increased in the society so that it can early recognize elder abuse., 論文},
