As the cause of death was unknown, a medico-legal autopsy was performed. The carboxyhemoglobin concentration of the blood was found to be 65%; the cause of death was determined to be carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. A portable gasoline engine dynamo found in the barn was thought to be the source of the CO since nothing else was found that could produce CO. In order to determine whether or not this dynamo could cause the fatal CO poisoning a reproduction experiment was performed. The CO concentration of the air in the barn increased rapidly and reached approximately 2000 ppm in 9 min. Despite the small size, care should be taken when using portable dynamos in closed spaces., 論文}, pages = {45--47}, title = {[症例報告]携帯式発電機による一酸化炭素中毒死}, volume = {23} }
