The hearing loss patients were seen in the 241 (17.4%) out of 1382 patients, who visited our outclinic at the first evaluation in 1980. 2. The sensori-neural hearing loss patients were seen in the 214 (58.5%) out of 366 hearing loss patients. (The patient with different kind of hearing loss in both ear was calculated as two,) 3. There was no difference in the sex distribution, and many hearing loss was seen in the forth and the fifth decade of age. 4. The abrupt audiogram type in the sensori-neural hearing loss was seen in many of the patients, especially in many of the male patients. 5. With regard to the causes of sensori-neural hearing loss, acoustic induced loss in 11 patients (5.1%), traumatic loss in 9 (4.2%), Menier's disease in 7 (3.3%), and unclear diagnosis in 162 (75.8%). 6. The sex ratio of the male to female patients with acoustic induced hearing loss was 4 to 1. 7.
