The results were follows: 1) The ratio of the patients with malignant tumors in each year are always almost 4% of all patients in our clinic. 2) According to the locations, in which malignant tumors are found, 28 were found in oral cavity (15.9%) (lip-1, cheek mucosa-7, gingiva-0, hard palate-2, mouth floor-7, and tongue-11); 59 in pharynx (33.5%) (epipharynx-17, mesopharynx-21, and hypopharynx-21); 39 in larynx (22.2%); 36 in nasal and paranasal cavities (20.5%) (maxillary sinus-24, nasal cavity-9, and paranasal cavity except maxillary sinus-3); 1 in middle ear (0.6%); and 13 in the others (7.4%). 3) According to the sex of the patients with malignant tumors, the male and female patients were respectively 135 and 41. The ratio of the male to the female was 3.5 to 1. 4) The oldest male patient was 83 years old and died of hypopharynx cancer; the youngest male was 20 years old and died of epipharynx cancer ; the oldest female was 83 years old and is now in good health after the treatment of the reticulum cell sarcoma of palatine tonsil; and the youngest female was 12 years old and died of the rhabdomyosarcoma of ethmoid sinus. 5) In the end of March 1977, the 46 patients are in good health (26.1%), the 8 alive with tumors (4.5%), the 40 died of malignant tumors (22.7%), and the prognosis of the 79 patients is unknown (44.9%). The observationsperiod for four years is too short to discuss the data of malignant tumors.
