Namely, hypercholesterolemia was observed in all the members of the family. The tendon xanthoma of the daughter and younger son were diagnosed at the age of 12 and 6, respectively. Ischemic change was observed in the electrocardiogram of the grandmother. And ischemic findings were also seen in the exercise else electrocardiogram of the daughter and younger son. Tendon xanthoma was not found in the elder son, but his electrocardiographic finding was second degree A-V heart block with the Wenckebach's period. Abnormal glucose tolerance was not found in any of the members. The grandmother and father had a hypertension. 2) Total cholesterol levels of the mother, daughter and son in the family K. were found to be 328, 438 and 210 mg/100ml, respectively. The father died of a cardiovascular disease at the age of 59. The daughter was diagnosed as having tendon xanthoma at the age of 17.
