While ecology and epidemiology of the atypical mycobacteria of mainland Japan have been relatively well investigated, those of Okinawa, which is located in the semi-tropical zone, have rarely been studied. Since 1971, this author has been investigating atypical mycobacterioses in Okinawa, and has found six cases of atypical mycobacterioses. Bacteriological studies on the acid fast bacilli isolated from the patients of these six cases showed that three strains were M. intracellulare and the other three were M. scroflaceum. During the clinical observations of ralatively long periods, a moderate improvement was seen in two cases, and a slight improvement in two other cases, and worsening was seen in the last two., 論文}, pages = {52--58}, title = {[原著]沖縄における非定型抗酸菌症 : 細菌学的研究と臨床}, volume = {1} }
