During the four year period from 1974 to 1978, we investigated 101 cases of venomous snake bite -, 81 sequela cases treated at other hospital and later brought to our attention, 20 cases were treated at the University of the Ryukyus Hospital from the beginning, in which 3 cases were resulted in sequela. The involved site included 65 cases in upper extremities, 33 cases in lower extremities, and 3 cases in head and face. Habu antivein has been used for Habu bite but has occasionally failed to prevent local necrosis of the bitten site and sequela has resulted, especially in case, a large quantity venom was injected into the muscle. Habu bite sequela is consisted of one or more following 1) Contructure and adhesion of muscle, myofascia, and tendon. 2) Peripheral nerve palsy 3) Circulation disturbance 4) Changes of bone andjoint We now emphasize an immediate and an adequate excision of the tissues containing the venom and decompression fasciotomy in extreme case to prevent the sequela., 論文}, pages = {177--183}, title = {[原著]沖縄県における毒蛇咬傷について : 上肢のハブ咬傷後遺症を中心に}, volume = {2} }
