The proportion of the patients with malignant tumors in each year were always almost 4% of all patients in our ORL-clinic. The male and female patients with malignant tumors were respectively 176 and 52, and the ratioof the male to the female was 3.4 :1. The malignant tumors were found in the so-called cancer age of 50 and 60 years of both the male and female patients. As to the locations, in which malignant tumors are found, 40 were found in oral cavity (17.5%) ; 75 in pharynx (32.9%) ; 52 in larynx (22.8%) ; 43 in nasal and paranasal cavities (18.5%) ; 2 in middle ear(0.9%); and 16 in the others (7.0%). The frequencies in each tumor location were almost similar as those, which were reported in several literatures in Japan. In the end of March 1978, the 66 patients are in good health (28.9%), the 14 alive with tumors (6.1%), the 54 died of malignant tumors (23.7%), the 4 died without malignant tumors (1.7%), and the prognosis of the remaining 90 patients is unknown (39.5%). The rough alive ratios for three years were respectively 54.5 % and 71.4% in the laryngeal cancers and the cancers of maxillary sinus., 論文}, pages = {347--352}, title = {[原著]過去5年間の琉球大学保健学部附属病院耳鼻咽喉科悪性腫瘍統計}, volume = {1} }
