Twenty five patients with diabetes mellitus were diagnosed among 232 pulmonary tuberculous patients in admission. The complication rate is found to be 10.7%, and the frequency of complication in male patients is higher than that of females. The frequenccy of diabetes mellitus preceded by tuberculosis is found to be 72%. This result suggests that diabetics tend to have pulmonary tuberculosis. The charactenstic findings of chest X-ray in pulmonary tuberculosis with diabetes millitus are 1) homogenous exsudative shadow, 2) unusal localization of tuberculous lesion such as S-8, S-9, S-10, and 3) formation of polyfollicular cavity. The frequency of slender diabetic patients was much higher than that of obese patients.
