Statistical analyses were presented, regarding to the 178 inpatients in the Oto-Rhino-Laryngological Department of the Ryukyus University Hospital in 1974. We treated male inpatients somewhat more than female, and many in young generations of the teenagers, the twenties and the thirties referring to the age of the inpatients. They were divided into two groups, namely surgical operation group (158 cases) and hospitalized management group (20 cases) according to the contents of the treatments. The surgical operation group was further divided into ear diseases (34 cases), nasal and paranasal diseases (42 cases), pharynx-oral cavity-salivary gland diseases (80 cases), and larynx-neck diseases (10 cases) according to the location of the operated diseases, and the hospitalized management group was divided into malignant tumor group (6 cases) and ordinary disease group (14 cases), and then these were statistically analysed. We shall cary out these statistical observations further more for every year, in order to evaluate the transition of the diseases in our Oto-Rhino-Laryngological Department. |
