One hundred- eleven patients over 60 years old were studied. 2. Thirty-six per cent of the patients were estimated as favourable clinical course. 3. As to prognosis, there were no differences in the age of onset of disorders and the age of the first intervention. 4. Patients, who took psychiatric consultations at the hospital near their living region, had favourable clinical courses, and therapeutical relationships to their doctor were continued for good enough time. 5. Unfavourable factors were low income, dementia or delirium, somatic complications, losing spouse and seperating from children. 6.
