Four formula feeds with the different contents of the leucaena meal in the concentrate, i.e., 100:0 (Control), 90:10 (T-10), 80:20 (T-20) and 70:30 (T-30), were prepared. The results obtained were as follows: 1) Mean daily gains (Kg/day) for T-0, T-IO, T-20 and T-30 were 0.64, 0.70 and 0.64, respectively. The higher the content of the leucaena meal in the feed, the better the feed efficiency was. 2) After the end of the feeding experiment, all the pigs were slaughtered and the weight of organs and carcasses was determined. No differences in organ weight or carcass weight were found amoung the four rations. 3) Meat characteristics such as water content, water-holding capacity, the level of total pigment and the value of color tone were also determined among carcasses from the pigsfed with these feeds. The values were higher for the pigs fed with the diets containing the leucaena meal compared to those for the pigs with control. 4) The contents of oleic acid in total fatty acids of back fat for the pigs fed with the leucaena meals were higher than that of control. From these results, it was suggested that inclusion of the leucaena meal as high as 30% in the pig ration did not exert a harmful influence upon performance, carcass characteristics and meat quality., 論文}, pages = {19--27}, title = {[報文]ミモシン含量を減少させたギンネムの豚に対する給与試験, 屠体成績および肉質について}, volume = {6} }
