In Japan, this species has been recorded only from Omoto-dake on Ishigaki-jima Island, southern Ryukyu Islands. This study records R. omotoensis from five islands from both the central Ryukyus (Okinawa-jima and Kume-jima) and southern Ryukyus (Ishigaki-jima, Iriomote-jima, and Yonaguni-jima). These represent the first records of the species from the four islands other than Ishigaki-jima Island, and additional sites on Ishigaki-jima Island are also found. This study also expands the northern limit of the distribution of the genus Rhopalomastix (Kunigami-son, Okinawa-jima Island, Okinawa Prefecture: 26 ̊83’N).}, pages = {9--13}, title = {ヒゲブトアリ Rhopalomastix omotoensis Terayama, 1996 の新産地}, volume = {66}, year = {2023} }
