Additionally, as a comparison of the development of language ability, we analyzed the language ability development of a daughter raised by a native English / native Japanese couple, and another daughter raised by a non-native Japanese couple of English beginners.\nResults: (1) Even for non-native Japanese couples, if bilingual education is developed in accordance with “one parent; one language,” where one parent treats the child in English and the other parent in Japanese, the language acquisition process is nearly the same as that of Japanese-English bilingual\nchildren of native English / native Japanese couples. However, this does not apply to Japanese L2learners with respect to the acquisition of plurals and articles. (2) Compared to Japanese-English bilingual children of native English / native Japanese couples, the subject child’s language ability showed similar development.
