While not unfamiliar to younger foreign language instructors in Germany these methods seem to be relatively new to many of the students in Japan. The result of this trial was that these methods work very well when applied in a situation in which the students feel outside normal classrooms as exemplified by three minidramas around hotel situations produced and performed by the students with only minimum teacher instruction given.
