stress on the shear surface. To eliminate the effect of the skin friction on normal stress on shear surface, the conventional Mikasa\u0027s direct shear apparatus is improved to be able to measure the normal stress on shear surface. In this paper, to investigate the effect of the skin friction on the shear strength, constant pressure tests and constant volume tests are carried out on sands using the improved direct shear apparatus. It is necessary to determine the shear strength with normal stress on shear surface in both a constant pressure test and a constant volume test. 内容記述 一面せん断試験の供試体とせん断箱内壁の周面摩擦の影響を調べために,せん断面上の垂直応力が測定できるように改良した一面せん断試験装置を用いて砂について定圧試験および定体積試験を実施した。また,改良前の在来型試験結果との比較により,せん断強度に及ぼす周面摩擦力の影響について調べた。さらに,定圧試験による内部摩擦角と三軸圧縮試験による結果と比較して一面せん断試験結果の評価を行った。得られた主な結果を以下に示す。1)せん断箱内壁と供試体との周面摩擦力は,圧密過程およびせん断過程において体積変化に伴って発生し,せん断面上の垂直応力に反映されている。2)周面摩擦力は,垂直応力に直接関与することから,せん断強度の決定にはせん断面上の垂直応力を用いる必要がある。3)定体積試験ではせん断面上の垂直応力で整理した破壊線は定圧試験による破壊線とほぼ一致する。4)定圧試験によって得られた強度定数は,三軸圧縮試験による結果とほぼ同程度である。
