内容記述 本実験は, 山羊の採食開始後における生理諸元の変動を連続測定することにより, 山羊の採食開始が生理諸元に及ぼす影響について詳細な観察と検討を行うことを目的とした。供試動物はザーネン雑種雌山羊3頭を用いた。給餌はアルファルファー乾草で12時から17時までとし, 給水は17時から翌日の12時までとした。実験は採食実験と絶食実験を行い, 両実験共3頭3例行った。両実験時間中における環境温度は24±3℃, 相対湿度は74±1%の範囲にあった。直腸温は採食開始後15分より上昇を示した。再咀嚼回数は, 採食実験の採食開始前において, 低い再咀嚼運動(52±27回/分)を示しているが, 採食開始後10秒で顕著に増加(208±32回/分)し, 実験終了まで安定した高い値を示した。呼吸数は採食実験の採食開始前は36±15回/分の範囲にあったが, 採食開始後10秒で最も高い値(179回/分)を示し, その後高い値で安定(160±44回/分)していた。心拍数は採食開始前61±13回/分から, 採食開始により漸次増加し, 15分後もさらに増加した97±6回/分の値を示し, 実験終了まで高い値(102±18回/分)を示した。絶食実験においては, 直腸温, 再咀嚼回数, 呼吸数及び心拍数は実験時間中安定した値を示していた。以上の結果より, 制限給餌により管理されている山羊において, 採食を開始しない限り呼吸数や心拍数の生理諸元に変化が表われない, しかし採食開始後は瞬時に変動が表われる。また, 呼吸数は採食開始後10秒後において瞬時に高い値を示すが, 心拍数は漸次増加していくことが明らかとなった。
