焼畑農耕とその常畑化過程に関する農地生態学的研究の一環として, 西表島に設置した焼畑区, 焼畑改良区, 改良区及び自然林において昆虫類を採集し, その群集構造について検討したところ次の結果を得た。1.改良区及び焼畑改良区では焼畑区や自然林に比べ, 昆虫類の群集構造は目, 科, 種レベルで単純であった。2.目レベルにおける群集構造は優先度からみて次のとおりで, 改良区と焼畑改良区の構造は他区のそれとはかなり異っていた。Impr.-Hemiptera>Hymenoptera>Diptera>Coleoptera>Orthoptera Semi-Hemiptera>Hymenoptera>Diptera>Coleoptera>Orthoptera Shif.-Hymenoptera>Hemiptera>Coleoptera>Diptera>Orthoptera Nat.-Diptera>Hymenoptera>Coleoptera>Hemiptera>Orthoptera 3.種類数は改良区で14種, 焼畑改良区で20種, 焼畑区で55種で, 自然林では141種であった。種多様度指数(Simpson's index)は, 改良区, 焼畑改良区では極めて低く, 焼畑ではやや高く, 自然林では極めて高かった(Table 5)。 |

A servey on the structure of insect community at the Shifting, Semi-improved and Improved plots and the Natural forestry in the Iriomote Island was carried out in October 1980 as a part ofEcological studies on shifting cultivation and its transformation process to sustaind farmingThe results obtained were as follows : 1. At the Improved and Semi-improved plots the structure of insect community was simpler than those of the Shifting plot and the Natural forestry on the Order, Family and Species levels. 2. The structural patterns of insect community at each plots on the Order level were as follows : Impr.-Hemiptera>Hymenoptera>Diptera>Coleoptera>Orthoptera Semi-Hemiptera>Hymenoptera>Diptera>Coleoptera>Orthoptera Shif.-Hymenoptera>Hemiptera>Coleoptera>Diptera>Orthoptera Nat.-Diptera>Hymenoptera>Coleoptera>Hemiptera>Orthoptera At the Improved and Semi-improved plots the patterns were different from those of the Shifting plot and the Natural forestry. 3. The species diversity (Simpsons index) computed for each plots was as follows : Improved 2.1404 Semi-improved 2.8177 Shifting 6.6757 Natural forestry 30.9343 The index was lowered at the Improved and Semi-improved plots. |
