Water was poured into the water-storage pipes of Beds A, B, C, and D every day, every other day, once in three days, and once in 6 days respectively to fill the capacity of 32 liters. Bed E was left naked to measure evaporation suppling water every day. Results are shown in Table 1 and Fig. 1. The plants were harvested on September 24 because of the expected typhoon on 26th. (The period of cultivation was 70 days.) Bed C performed best. Bed E consumed greater quantities of water than Bed A. In Beds A and B daily loss of water was reduced as the plants grew. 内容記述 本学術報告16号 : 14頁に図示し, 前報キュウリの施肥試験で補足説明したベッドを4つ用いてスイートコーンに対する給水頻度試験と, 別に1つのベッドを設定して蒸発量試験を行った。1969年7月17日にA, B, C, Dの各ベッドに75cm×50cm間隔に16点播し, 1株2本支立てで32本を8m^2に栽培した。肥料は週1回, 住友液肥2号を40ccずつ施した。水はA, B, C, Dベッドにそれぞれ毎日, 隔日, 3日に1回, 6日に1回, 貯水管の容量32ℓに達するように補給した。Eベッドは裸地状態にして水は毎日定時に補給し, その蒸発量を測定し, 各栽培ベッドの蒸発散量との比較を行なった。結果は第1表と第1図に示したとおり, Cベッドにおいてもっともよい成績が得られた。EベッドはAベッドよりも水を多く消費した。A, Bベッドでは生育後半, 植物体が大きくなるにつれて消費水量はすくなくなっていった。
