内容記述 1)沖縄島北部産土壌中非石灰土壌33個所113点の土壌の全マンガン量を定量した。2)全マンガン含量はMnとして25∿1,404ppm(MnOとして0.003∿0.181%), 平均Mnとして286ppm(MnOとして0.037%)であった。3)地質系統別では差はあまり, 認められなかった。4)土壌統別では, 同一地質系統の土壌でも差のあることを知った。(1)粘板岩土壌のうち屋名座統土壌はそのマンガン含量平均406ppm(MnOとして0.052%)で具志堅統土壌のマンガン含量平均206ppm(MnOとして0.027%)に比し高い結果を得た。是は非常に高い有意差を示した。(2)国頭礫層土壌のうち中川統土壌はそのマンガン含量平均Mnとして408ppm(MnOとして0.053%)で安田統土壌のマンガン含量の平均, Mnとして231ppm(MnOとして0.030%)に比し高く, 有意差のあることを示した。5)上記土壌によるマンガン含量の差は, 土壌の礫含量により, 1つはその母岩のマンガン含量の大なる場合には土壌マンガン含量に正に貢献し, 母岩のマンガン含量の小さい時は溶脱を助けて負に貢献するように思われる。
