| 内容記述 | 琉球大学短期交換プログラムは2001年発足し、学生交流協定を結んだ海外の大学の学生約20名を受入れ、単位互換制度の下に1年間英語による授業と、日本語教育を行う。本プログラムが提供する科目はすべて選択科目であるが、本プログラムの特徴である英語による授業科目は各学期4単位以上履修することを義務づけている。本プログラムに対する二期生の満足度は一期生のそれと比較してかなり向上した。二期生の満足度が向上した項目は一期生へのアンケート結果に基づいて対策を取った項目であった。残された主な課題は英語による授業科目の数を増やし質の向上を図ることである。しかしこれを直ちに実現するのは困難なので、学生が希望する課題について指導教官のもとで勉学・研究することを英語による授業科目とみなして単位を与えることで、単位取得の目的だけで希望しない英語による授業科目を履修することがないようにした。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | URSEP, which started from October 2001, aims to educate by utilizing English students from oversea universities that have academic exchange agreements with the University of the Ryukyus. Approximately 20 students participate in this program in each academic year. It has been found out that the feeling of satisfaction of the second period participants has improved considerably compared with that of the first period participants. This improvement might be attributed to the measures taken to improve problems found out through the survey conducted on the first period participants. The main remaining problems are lacking of courses given in English that attract students mainly corning from Europe and US and course qualities assessed by them. The immediate abolition of this obligation should not be considered now as it might destroy the main objective of this program. Instead Independent Study/Research subjects, which are to carry on study or research on the specific subject of student's interest under supervision of an appropriate professor, should be used as substitutes of the courses given in English. | |||||||||
