キノボリトタテグモ Conothele fragaria (Dönitz,1887) はトタテグモ科Ctenizidae に属する体長8–12 mm のクモで (図1) , 本州･四国･九州･南西諸島･伊豆諸島及び小笠原父島に分布する日本固有種である (新海ら 2014). 他のトタテグモ類が入り口に扉の付いたトンネル状の巣穴を地中に造るのとは異なり, 本種は樹幹や岩の壁面に自らの糸で扉の付いた袋状の巣を造り (小野 2009), その巣の表面は樹皮や地衣類で覆われている (図2, 3).現在, 本種は, 環境省版レッドリストで準絶滅危惧として掲載されており, 個体数の減少もしくは生息条件の悪化が懸念されている (西川2006; 環境省 2012).本種は, 沖縄県内ではこれまでに伊是名島･沖縄島･久米島･屋嘉比島･宮古島･西表島及び与那国島から記録されていた (谷川･佐々木1999). 今回, 筆者は沖縄県内の既知の産地を含む17 島で本種の分布調査を行い, 12 島で新たな分布を確認した (附録1) ので生息状況を含め報告する.
