| 内容記述 | In this paper, I cover the records of the experiences in colonized oversea areas within municipal history published in Okinawa. I inquire into the regional history to bring light on how the experiences of Okinawan repatriates in colonized oversea areas were recorded or were not recorded in the regional history. Before reading through experience records, using the Overseas Repatriate Fact－Finding Data, I attempt to make a general outline. According to the Overseas Repatriate Fact－Finding Data, there are 13,173 repatriates from the South Sea Islands, 3,120 from the Philippines, 6,504 from Taiwan, 1,899 from Manchuria, and 183 from Korea. In this data, repatriates other than the head of the household were not recorded. In whole, the ratio of agriculture and marine product industry was high in the South East Asian and Pacific areas such as South Sea Islands and Philippines. On the other hand, in East Asian regions such as Taiwan, China, Manchuria, and Korea, the ratio of public services, freelance professions, and manufacturing was high. Regarding the prefectural and municipal history published in Okinawa, there are 812 records of experiences mentioned concerning Taiwan, Manchuria, the South Sea Islands, and the Philippines. Of the 812 records, 527 were published as war records focusing on the residents' war experiences. 241 records were published as immigration history. Of the prefectural and municipal history regarding the experiences records on colonized oversea area, approximately seventy percent is concerning war and thirty percent immigration. Here I make a comparison between the contexts of war and immigration. I have selected cases from both war experience records and immigration history to do the comparison. Additionally, I took notice on experiences of minorities such as women and Nisei who was born in the colonized area and made a selection of cases. | |||||||||
