内容記述 No Brasil , está presente a maior comunidade imigrante japonesa de todo o mundo e nela vivem cerca de 1.5 milhões de nipônicos (imigrantes e seus descendentes), sendo que 10% são okinawanos. Os imigrantes okinawanos levaram consigo uma língua peculiar ao Brasil. Assim como a sociedade imigrante, esta língua foi se transformando ao longo da história. No processo de assimilação, a primeira geração passou a usar o português no dia a dia e a combinação deste com a língua materna fez surgir uma língua ainda mais peculiar. O presente artigo procura tratar a língua falada pela comunidade okinawana do Brasil como o resultado do contato entre quatro línguas: o dialeto okinawano, o português, o ryukyu creoloid (originado do contato entre o dialeto okinawano e o japonês padrão) e colonia-go (originado do contato entre o português e inúmeros dialetos da ilha principal do Japão). Fatores sociais como a diminuição do número de falantes da primeira geração e os casamentos inter-raciais fazem com que nos tempos modernos seja difícil preservar o japonês e o dialeto okinawano. O contato entre as quatro línguas encontra-se no ápice de seu dinamismo e este é o momento ideal para se realizar pesquisas deste cunho. No presente artigo, serão feitas considerações a respeito das peculiaridades lexicais, fonéticas e gramaticais na língua da primeira geração, através da análise de trechos de conversação.
