Some molecular parameters including D-dimer, thrombin-anitithrombin (4) complex (TAT) and plasmin-$ \alpha $2 plasmin inhibitor complex (PIC) were examined in disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC). D-dimer and TAT were elevated in 93% (13/14) and 100%(7/7) of patients with DIC and pre-DIC, respectively. PIC were also elevated in 88% (7/8) of patients with DIC, but notin those with pre-DIC. In addition to our previous report that presented the utility of fibrinogen & fibrin degradation products and FM test for the diagnosis of DIC, it was suggested that these parameters were also useful for understanding the coagulative or fibrinolytic condition in DIC. By using these parameters, we will be able to make early diagnosis of DIC and to choose the better treatment of DIC. |
