The concentrations of ammonia, methyl mercaptan and dimethyl sulfide were increased as compared with those measured in 1988. The results obtained indicated that an increase in these malodorous substances (which could not be effectively eliminated by cleaning) had occurred, and that the COSA/TRON system continued to be useful for the elimination of sulfur compounds.
