A case of extra-medullary plasmocytoma was reported. The case, 73 years old male, visited our ORL-clinic with hoarseness, stridor and dyspnoea. There was a globular mass, about 2 x 2 x 2 cm in size, with the wide stem from the right laryngeal surface of the epiglottis in the larynx. No other specific features were observed by the indirect laryngoscopic examination. The mass was endoscopically resected in local anaesthesia. The pathological diagnosis was a plasmocytoma. The clinical examinations reveals no signs of multiple myeloma haematologically and radiographically. The patient should be strictly further more observed, as it is reported in a literature that the extrameduallary plasmocytoma can be a part of multiple myeloma. |
