| 内容記述 | 2022 年の夏はレンタカーが沖縄から消えた。コロナ禍で観光需要が蒸発したことから，県内のレンタカー会社は大幅に在庫を減らした。その状況下で，国内の観光客が一挙に沖縄に押し寄せたため，レンタカーが予約できな異常事態を迎えた。沖縄観光の主要な交通手段はレンタカーであり，公共交通機関が脆弱なため，レンタカー無しの観光客は不便を強いられることとなった。本稿では，筆者の宮古島での体験をもとに，車無しでも観光が楽しめるだけではなく，地域住民の移動手段も同時に向上できるような沖縄MaaS への期待を整理した。 | |||||||||
